There can only be one.
What you reckon?
For me, it's The Godfather.

No, that was earlier, wasn't it? This was a space film that came out in 1992. The name was pretty unique.

Just watched The Killing Fields(1985) again.Saw it at the pictures when it came out. British made and won 3 oscars. Not a film for the faint hearted but brilliant and would definitely be in my top five. Available on prime, free to watch.

While not maybe the best in the eyes of nany on here I expect,, I'd day its certainly tbe best of Its genre and definetely a classic. I am popping on a vote for Singin In The Rain.
Used to watch it with my dad snd now my eldest daughter loves it so watch it regularly with her.

I'd go with movies that have the biggest personal impact on me
The magnificent 7 (original) (great adaptation, perfectly told)
Close encounters (Life affirming and for once the aliens were the good guys)
The exorcist Made me scared to go to bed at night! -still one of the scariest movies ever made)
The green mile (Again life affirming )
Forrest Gump (original and both funny, sad and exciting - sometimes in the same scene!
